The City of Simi Valley maintains a road network of approximately 337 miles of streets. Multiple pavement rehabilitation projects are undertaken on a yearly basis to maintain this essential part of the City's infrastructure.

Below are current and upcoming capital improvement projects. Frequently asked questions can be found on the capital project page.

SV 24-02 - FY 2024-25 Annual Major Streets Rehabilitation Program: Los Angeles Avenue (Ralston Street to Yosemite Avenue)

Status: Under Construction

  • This project includes concrete repair, full-width grinding, new asphalt pavement, and new traffic striping on Los Angeles Avenue from Ralston Street to Yosemite Avenue. Access to businesses and residences along this segment will be maintained at all times.

SV 24-09 - FY 2023-24 Annual Minor Streets Rehabilitation Program - SB1

Status: Under Construction

  • This project will be funded by the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017, also known as Senate Bill 1 (SB-1).  This project for the 2023-24 fiscal year will include concrete repair, grinding, new asphalt pavement and slurry seal.

SV 24-12 - FY 2024-25 Annual Major Streets Rehabilitation Program: Yosemite Avenue (Kathrine Street to 118 Freeway),

Status: Design Phase

  • This project includes concrete repair, full-width grinding, new asphalt pavement, slurry seal, video detection and new traffic striping Yosemite Avenue from Kathrine Street to 118 Freeway.

SV 24-17 - FY 2023-24 Annual Major Streets Rehabilitation Program: Erringer Road (Alamo Street to Cochran Street)

Status: Design Phase

  • This project includes concrete repair, full-width grinding, new asphalt pavement, and new traffic striping on Erringer Road from Alamo Street to Cochran Street. Access to businesses and residences along this segment will be maintained at all times.

SV 24-21 - Bus Stop Improvements

Status: Design Phase

  • This project includes concrete repair, installation of new bus shelters, steel benches, and trash receptacles. The project will take place at various locations throughout the city. 

SV 24-22 - FY 2023-24 Annual Major Streets Rehabilitation Program: Sycamore Drive (Alamo Street to 118 Freeway)

Status: Under Construction

  • This project includes concrete repair, full-width grinding, new asphalt pavement, and new traffic striping on Sycamore Drive from Alamo Street to 118 Freeway. Access to businesses and residences along this segment will be maintained at all times.

SV 24-26 - FY 2024-25 Annual Major Streets Rehabilitation Program: Cochran Street (West End to First Street)

Status: Under Construction

  • This project includes concrete repair, full-width grinding, new asphalt pavement, weed abatement, microsurfacing and new traffic striping on Cochran Street from West End to First Street. Access to businesses and residences along this segment will be maintained at all times.

SV 25-03 - FY 2024-25 Annual Minor Streets Rehabilitation Program, CDBG

Status: Design Phase

  • The Annual Minor Streets Improvement Program - CDBG provides for the maintenance and rehabilitation of residential and collector streets in areas that are determined to be Low to Moderate Income by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Street rehabilitation projects in these areas are funded through HUD’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and supplemented by various City funds. This project for the 2024-25 fiscal year includes concrete repair, asphalt grinding, new asphalt pavement, and traffic striping.
