The Armed Forces Banner Program was initiated by the City of Simi Valley to honor and recognize Simi Valley’s military personnel. Banners are placed on street light poles throughout the City.
Requirements
Honorees must be a current or past resident of Simi Valley and meet any one of the following requirements:
- Active duty military personnel in any branch of the United States Armed Forces, including active Reserves and active National Guard; or
- A fallen service member in any United States conflict; or
- Inactive duty military personnel that served in any branch of the United States Armed Forces from September 2001 to deactivation.
Application
Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis and installed twice a year.
Banners will be displayed as noted in the banner application.
