Police Administration & Communications Division - Communications  Bureau

The Communications Bureau is a critical link between the community and patrol units in the field.  9-1-1 calls are quickly evaluated by the dispatch staff and the information that patrol or specialized units needs to respond is gathered and relayed to the proper locale or agency.   Dispatchers work 24/7 and receive emergency and non-emergency calls for service and dispatch field units to emergency situations.  They also determine the nature and location of calls as well as the priority of calls.  The safety of over 126,000 people begins in this room, and they're in good hands!
