Detective Bureau

The Detective Bureau is responsible for the investigation of major crimes and felonies, and any complicated crimes beyond the expertise of Patrol Bureau personnel. The Bureau is divided into three units:  the Major Crimes Unit, the Property Crimes Unit, and the Narcotics Unit.  The Detective Bureau also oversees crime scene investigation and the registration of sex, narcotic, and arson offenders.  In an effort to provide prompt and professional investigative service to the community, we work together as a collaborative team along with the Crime Analysis Unit, Crime Prevention Unit, and the Property/Evidence Unit.
