Tree Advisory Board
The City Planning Commissioners act as the City’s Tree Advisory Board (Board), to serve in an advisory capacity to the City Council on citywide matters pertaining to the planting, health, and care of our community urban forest. The primary functions of the Board are to make an Arbor Day Proclamation and to act as an appeals panel for tree removal permit decisions.

Tree City USA
The City of Simi Valley is recognized by the Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree City USA and Tree Growth Community. A Tree City USA Community must satisfy prescribed requirements including making an Arbor Day Proclamation.
