Joint City Council/Planning Commission Meeting

Simi Valley General Plan Update

The Simi Valley City Council and Planning Commission will be holding a joint meeting to discuss the City’s General Plan Update. The purpose of this meeting is to provide direction on the Land Use Alternative Areas to be evaluated for the General Plan Update. Thirteen areas have been identified and are being considered for potential changes to the current General Plan. The City’s General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) has reviewed the proposed land use changes and will be making a recommendation to the City Council and Planning Commission about which areas should be considered for further evaluation. The 13 areas were also presented to the public in a Community Workshop on May 22, 2008, and the public input received about the proposed changes will also be presented to the City Council and Planning Commission.
