Coastal Cleanup Day

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Coastal Cleanup Day. Every year since 1984, people from all over the world have given a few hours of their time on the third Saturday of September to help pick up trash along the beaches and inland waterways of their communities. Since 1985 volunteers have picked up over 14,500,000 pounds of trash!

Be a part of this annual worldwide event, join your friends and neighbors at Rancho Simi Community Park, near the corner of Royal Avenue and Erringer Road, on Saturday, September 19, from 9:00 a.m. to noon to help pick up trash along the Arroyo Simi. Wear sturdy, comfortable shoes and a hat to protect you from the sun. Don’t forget to bring water and sunscreen!
