The Simi Valley Youth Employment Service (YES) and Simi Valley Public Library invite youth ages 16 to 22 to participate in a free "Resume Writing Workshop" on Monday, August 28, 2017, from 4:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at the Simi Valley Public Library. 

The "Resume Writing Workshop" will focus on resume writing basics and tips, common mistakes, and assistance building an impressive resume or strengthening an existing resume. Participants will receive one-on-one assistance with YES staff and along with access to Library computers and printer, will be able to leave the workshop with a completed resume in-hand. The workshop and handout materials are provided free of charge. Space for this session is limited and will be provided on a first-reserved, first- served basis. Walk-ins also welcome. The YES program is provided at no cost to the youth of Simi Valley and offers a wide variety of services. Youth, ages 15-22, can schedule appointments for coaching on the application process, interview skills, professionalism in the workplace, as well as job referrals.
