Youth, ages 15 to 22, seeking employment or internships are encouraged to attend the 30th Annual Youth Employment Service (YES) Job and Career Expo on Saturday, April 22 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., at the Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley. This free event is provided as a community and business service by the City of Simi Valley and sponsored by the Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley and the Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise.
Additionally, businesses seeking full-time, part-time, seasonal or permanent employees; interns; and/or businesses willing to discuss career opportunities within their industries can still register for the YES Job and Career Expo at no charge by registering online at www.simivalley.org/JobExpo. With more than 400 qualified high school students, high school graduates, college students and out-of-school youth expected to attend, you don’t want to miss this opportunity to recruit and hire local candidates, educate young adults on career options and network with other businesses.
As each year some employers interview and extend offers the day of the event, young adults who attend the event should be dressed professionally, bring polished resumes, and be prepared to complete employment applications and possibly interview, as each year some employers interview and extend offers the day of the event.
Businesses, vocational schools, non-profit organizations, and young adults who would like more information should contact Kristin Tignac, Youth Employment Service Coordinator, at (805) 522-4473.
