The City of Simi Valley is recruiting individuals interested in serving four-year terms on the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center Foundation (Foundation) Board. 

The Foundation supports and enhances the presentation of the performing and visual arts, educational programs, and cultural activities at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center (Center). It also provides annual financial support and is currently building an endowment for the Center. Its signature fund raising event is the Spotlight Awards held each spring recognizing the contributions made by local performers, volunteers, educators and patrons.

Foundation Board meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the Cultural Arts Center. The Foundation Board is comprised of 21 members, seven of which are selected by the City Council. The City and the Foundation are currently recruiting new members.

Applications for the City Council appointed positions are available on the City’s website by clicking here and may be obtained from and returned to the Community Services Department at City Hall, 2929 Tapo Canyon Road, Simi Valley, CA 93063. Applications may be requested by calling (805) 583-6335. The application deadline is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2017. Two City Council Members will interview applicants and make a recommendation to the City Council for appointment.
