GET INVOLVED!
THE SIMI VALLEY NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCILS ARE
RECRUITING FOR EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBER POSITIONS
The City of Simi Valley is currently accepting applications for all four Neighborhood Council Executive Boards. The Neighborhood Councils meet on a monthly basis in the evenings to:
· Give residents the opportunity to voice their concerns or ask questions about their neighborhood and city;
· Advise the City Council and Planning Commission on development projects, other matters on which the City Council has specifically requested their input, and resident concerns;
· Give developers the opportunity to dialog with residents and address concerns early in the planning process.
The Neighborhood Councils are also a great way to get involved and learn more about your community.
There are vacancies on each of the four Neighborhood Council Executive Boards. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and residents of the City of Simi Valley. Successful candidates will be appointed by the City Council to serve in an advisory capacity for two-year terms from March 1, 2017, to February 28, 2019.
The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, December 16, 2016. To submit your application please click here to apply.
