Community Conversations about the Simi Valley Public Library

Community Conversations. The Public's Input is Sought.

The City of Simi Valley recently celebrated three years of running the Simi Valley Public Library. During this time, many new programs, events, and resources were added, and changes were made to the building.

The City of Simi Valley, Library Board of Trustees, and Library Staff continue to work on making the Simi Valley Public Library the Library you want, need and deserve. It’s now time to find out what the community thinks about the changes, the library in general, and any suggestions for the future. We need your input.

Therefore, the Library will host open houses called, “Community Conversations”, with the purpose of asking the public for their opinions and observations. We encourage you to think big and use your imagination. Consider new models, new services, and potentially new roles for the Library. Whether you use the library a little, a lot, or not at all; whether you have visited the library or not; we want to hear from you. The suggestions and input that come from these Community Conversations will be used to guide the next 3 to 5 years of the Library.

The next Community Conversation will be held on October 17 at 5:00 p.m. in the Library’s Community Room, 2969 Tapo Canyon Rd. Simi Valley, CA 93603. All ages are encouraged to participate.

If you are unable to attend either, you may participate in an on-line survey between now and October 22: Click here.

Let you voice be heard and help us offer the best public library for the Simi Valley community.
