THE SIMI VALLEY NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCILS ARE
RECRUITING FOR EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBER POSITIONS
The City of Simi Valley is currently accepting applications for Neighborhood Council Executive Board members. The Neighborhood Councils meet on a monthly basis to:
· Give residents the opportunity to voice their concerns or ask questions about their neighborhood and city;
· Advise the City Council and Planning Commission on development projects and resident concerns;
· Give developers the opportunity to dialog with residents and address concerns early in the planning process.
The Neighborhood Councils are also a great way to get involved and learn more about your community.
There are vacancies on each of the four Neighborhood Council Executive Boards. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and residents of the City of Simi Valley. Successful candidates will be appointed by the City Council to serve in an advisory capacity for two-year terms from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2018.
Visit www.simivalley.org/neighborhoodcouncils for further information or go directly to www.simivalley.org/ncapplication to apply. The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, April 15. Call Emily Habib, Neighborhood Council Coordinator, at (805) 583-6756 for more information.
