Simi Valley Youth Employment Service: Entering the Workforce Workshop

The Simi Valley Youth Employment Service (YES) invites youth ages 13 to 16 to participate in an “Entering the Workforce Workshop” on Thursday, August 13, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m., at the Simi Valley Public Library.

The “Entering the Workforce Workshop” focuses on employment law, age appropriate employment options, workplace ethics and safety, and job readiness. Participants will also have the opportunity to speak with local teen entrepreneurs. The workshop and handout materials are provided free of charge. Space for this session is limited and will be provided on a first-reserved, first-served basis. Walk-ins will also be welcome based on space availability. 

The YES program is provided at no cost to the youth of Simi Valley and offers a wide variety of services. Youth ages 15 to 22 can schedule appointments for coaching on the application process, interview skills, professionalism in the workplace, as well as job referrals.
