The Task Force on Homelessness was established by the City Council in 1999 to address the issue of homelessness in Simi Valley. The Simi Valley City Council and Task Force on Homelessness adopted a proactive goal to reduce homelessness in Simi Valley by 10% annually. This goal is part of a national, state, and countywide 10-year Strategy to End Homelessness. The Task Force on Homelessness coordinates the distribution of resources to assist homeless individuals, those at-risk of homelessness, and those in need.
The Task Force on Homelessness is currently seeking a representative who has been homeless in the past or is currently homeless within the City of Simi Valley.
