The City of Simi Valley is currently accepting applications for Neighborhood Council Executive Board members. Vacancies currently exist on each of the four Neighborhood Council Executive Boards. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and residents of the City of Simi Valley. Successful candidates will be appointed by the City Council to serve in an advisory capacity for two-year terms from March 1, 2015 to February 28, 2017.
The Neighborhood Councils meet on a monthly basis to review development projects and various issues of community concern within their respective boundaries. Following these reviews, the Neighborhood Councils advise the City Council and Planning Commission of their recommendations. Typical items reviewed include development projects, traffic, public safety, and other community issues.
The deadline for submitting applications is Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Call Emily Habib, Neighborhood Council Coordinator, at (805) 583 6756, or click here for further information. Applications may also be submitted online by clicking here.
