Senior Center Presentation: Don't Become a Victim of Scams
If something sounds too good to be true, the odds are it probably is. Criminals are clever, and sometimes it is hard to recognize when someone is scamming you. Get informed so you do not become a victim.
Stacia Crane from the United States Postal Service will give a presentation on Tuesday, February 25, 2013, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Simi Valley Senior Center, 3900 Avenida Simi, on how to avoid getting scammed. She will address fraud prevention, foreign lottery fraud, work at home scams, and phony check scams.
