Metrolink Community Memorial Workshop (NOTE NEW LOCATION)

The City of Simi Valley will conduct a workshop to solicit the public’s
input on establishing a memorial in recognition of victims of the
September 12, 2008 Metrolink collision, on Wednesday, November 19, 2008
at 6:00 p.m.
The City Council has initiated efforts to partner with the community in providing a permanent remembrance for those impacted by the Metrolink collision, and has authorized use of the Simi Valley Train Station as a potential site for a memorial.
The public is invited to participate in the workshop and offer ideas on alternative locations for the memorial, design options, and recommendations for a dedication of the memorial.
The workshop will take place at the Simi Valley Senior Center, 3900 Avenida Simi, Rooms 106-107, Simi Valley (map). Should anyone have any questions regarding the workshop, please contact Laura Behjan, Assistant City Manager at (805) 583-6701.
