Youth Employment Workshop: Entering the Workforce

The Simi Valley Youth Employment Service (YES) invites youth ages 13 and 14 to participate in a no-cost “Entering the Workforce Workshop” on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, from 3:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m., at the City of Simi Valley.

The “Entering the Workforce Workshop” focuses on employment law, employment options for youth ages 13 and 14, workplace ethics and safety, and job readiness. The workshop and handout materials are provided free of charge. Space for this session is limited and will be provided on a first-reserved, first-served basis.

The YES program is provided at no cost to the youth of Simi Valley and offers a wide variety of services. Additionally, YES appointments are available now for older youth, ages 15 to 22, including coaching on the application process, interview skills, professionalism in the workplace, as well as job referrals.
