Youth Employment Service (YES) Job and Career Expo

The Youth Employment Service (YES) Job and Career Expo will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., at the Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley. This event is free to job seekers ages 15 to 22 and local employers. The YES Job and Career Expo is an annual event, provided as a community and business service by the City of Simi Valley and sponsored by the Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley and the Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise.

Job seekers ages 15 to 22 who attend the event should be dressed professionally and be prepared to complete employment applications and possibly interview, as each year some employers extend job offers the day of the event.

Businesses seeking full-time, part-time, and/or seasonal employees can still register for the YES Job and Career Expo at no charge by calling Kristin Tignac, Youth Employment Service Coordinator, at (805) 522-4473. With more than 500 qualified high school students, high school graduates, and college students expected to attend, businesses don’t want to miss this opportunity to recruit and hire local candidates, educate young adults on career options, and network with other businesses.
