Senior Center: 2013 Wellness Expo

The Simi Valley Council On Aging is pleased to announce their Annual Wellness Expo. This exciting event will take place on Wednesday, May 22 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Simi Valley Senior Center, 3900 Avenida Simi. The Wellness Expo will feature over 60 exhibitors specializing in important resources for seniors. Information will be provided on health and social services, legal assistance, long-term care and housing, along with many other resources to help seniors age actively, comfortably and gracefully.

Several health screenings and services will be available to attendees at no charge on a first-come first-serve basis. Past Expos have included screenings for carotid artery, glucose, blood pressure, memory, scoliosis, hearing and osteoporosis. In addition, local restaurants will be offering complimentary tastings of their healthy menu items.

Admission is free and the Council On Aging encourages all seniors and their families to attend the 2013 Wellness Expo “For the Health of It.” For more information call the Senior Center at (805) 583-6363.
