Free Foreclosure Prevention Workshop

A Foreclosure Prevention Workshop will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012, at the Simi Valley Senior Center, located at 3900 Avenida Simi (map).
The workshop will be offered in English at 9:30 A.M. and will be
repeated in Spanish at 11:00 A.M. Simi Valley homeowners interested in
attending the workshop should call Cabrillo Economic Development
Corporation (CEDC) at (805) 659-6868, extension 130, for a reservation.
The City of Simi Valley has retained the services of CEDC to provide Foreclosure Prevention Workshops and counseling services for Simi Valley residents. There is no charge for residents to attend a workshop.
The workshops provide homeowners with valuable information that is necessary to deal with potential foreclosure issues. With homeowners’ permission, CEDC’s housing counselors will contact lenders on behalf of homeowners in an effort to negotiate a loan modification designed to help homeowners stay in their homes. CEDC’s counselors are certified through NeighborWorks® America’s Foreclosure Intervention and Default Counseling Program, which is approved by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
