Senior Center's 2011 Wellness and Information Expo

The Simi Valley Council On Aging is hosting their annual Wellness and Information Expo at the Simi Valley Senior Center,
3900 Avenida Simi, on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. –
1:00 p.m. The Wellness and Information Expo will feature over 60 vendors
and agencies that specialize in providing resources for seniors.
Information will be provided on health and social services, legal
assistance, long-term care, housing, along with health equipment and
resources to help seniors age actively as well as gracefully.
Several health screenings and services will be available to attendees at no charge on a first come first served basis. Echo Tech Imaging and Facey Medical will be offering carotid artery screenings, Simi Valley Hospital and Innerjoy Home Health Services will be offering glucose tests, Darancare Health Corporation and Valley Care Select will provide blood pressure testing and Alta California Medical Group will be providing a heel scan screening for osteoporosis.
Admission is free and the Council On Aging encourages all seniors to spread the word and attend the 2011 Wellness and Information Expo. For more information call the Senior Center at (805) 583-6363.
