Youth Employment Service Workshop: Entering the Workforce

The Youth Employment Service’s
(YES) “Entering the Workforce Workshop” will be held on Tuesday, August
9, 2011, from 3:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m., at the City of Simi Valley’s Development Services Building.
The YES program is provided at no cost to the youth of Simi Valley. For youth ages 13 and 14, YES offers “Entering the Workforce Workshops” that focus on employment law, employment options for youth ages 13 and 14, workplace safety, and job skill preparation. Also offered by YES, youth ages 15 through 22 can make appointments to receive coaching on the application process, interview skills, professionalism in the workplace, and job referrals.
To reserve a seat for the “Entering the Workforce Workshop” or for more information, teens or their parents should call Kristin Tignac, Interim Youth Employment Service Coordinator, at (805) 522-HIRE (4473). Space for this session is limited. Don’t miss this opportunity and call today.
