2011 National Night Out
The Police Department is inviting residents throughout the Simi Valley community to unite on Saturday, July 30, for National Night Out. National Night Out represents the kind of motivation, pride, and determination that is helping to make many neighborhoods safer places throughout the year. The Police Department encourages you to celebrate National Night Out with one of the following:
-
Host a Block Party
-
Get the kids out for some games
-
Close off your street for a community barbecue
-
Relax and enjoy a summer evening
In 2010, Simi Valley residents joined in National Night Out more than ever before, hosting 20 National Night Out Block Parties, with nearly 1,000 participants! We hope to set a new record again this year!

Official National Night Out Block Parties
Simi Valley Police Officers will visit all official National Night Out Block Parties between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. You can meet and greet one of our K-9 teams, members of the S.W.A.T. Team, or McGruff, the crime-fighting dog!
To host your official National Night Out Block Party, you will need to complete a Block Party Permit Application (all fees will be waived for National Night Out!) and return it to Jean-Marie Maroshek, Crime Prevention Specialist, by Friday, July 15, 2011.
For more information or to register your official National Night Out Block Party, please contact Jean-Marie Maroshek at (805) 583-6276 or E-mail neighborhoodwatch@simivalley.org.
