Free "Go Solar" Class

The City of Simi Valley will co-host with Southern California Edison (SCE) a free “Go Solar” class on the California Solar Initiative (CSI) program and the incentives it offers to homeowners.

Customers will learn about:

· Solar energy basics
· Benefits of installing a solar energy system
· Tax credits and other financial models that can help reduce upfront costs
· Financial incentives available through the CSI program

This 90-minute, non-technical, easy-to-understand class will be held in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 2929 Tapo Canyon Road, Simi Valley. The class will take place on Wednesday, September 1, 2010, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. The class is free but requires registration because space is limited.
