The City of Simi Valley is accepting applications for the Homebuyer Assistance Program, which provides up to 20% down payment assistance to households with incomes up to 150% of the Area Median Income, with credit scores above 620, debt to income ratios below 45%, and housing cost ratios below 35%.
Qualifying households may receive up to 20% of the purchase price of their home through a deferred payment, equity share loan from the City. Households participating in the program will be able to purchase an eligible single family, attached or detached home located within the City limits and program requirements. Funding for this program is currently available and complete applications will be processed on a first come, first served basis. Priority consideration will be given to applicants earning 60% of the AMI as well as applications with a identified property and complete loan application.
