On October 15, 2020 at 5:30 p.m., Startup Simi will host a virtual roundtable discussion for entrepreneurs who are looking to reinvent their business model or perhaps start a new business during the COVID-19 era. The selected panelists, advisors from the Economic Development Collaborative’s Small Business Development Center (EDC SBDC), Erica Bristol and Tony Elliot, will address these topics from a legal and financial perspective during the virtual event. The EDC SBDC, powered and funded in part through the Small Business Administration, provides no-cost technical consulting and access to capital to small business owners across Ventura and Santa Barbara County.
“In light of COVID-19 and the unprecedented challenges that business owners have had to face, entrepreneurs are also responding on two fronts: the validity of their business idea, and, ensuring the idea can withstand the current economic climate,” said Pilar Doolittle, Startup Simi Committee Co-Chair. “This event will touch on how to remain resilient, even while reinventing your business, to stay in the game.”
Participation is free with registration at this link: http://bit.ly/startupsimi1015. The meeting is expected to last for about one hour and will be hosted on Zoom. Entrepreneurs, business owners, and those curious about starting a business are all encouraged to attend.
