The Simi Valley Youth Council will host its second annual talent show online on Friday, May 29, 2020 starting at 7:00 p.m.  The event will be livestreamed on both Zoom and Facebook and will spotlight the exceptional gifts and abilities of local community members of all ages.  There are 17 competitive and showcase acts scheduled to perform in categories like dance, song, and the ever-entertaining "miscellaneous" field. 

"The Youth Council decided that the show must go on despite the COVID-19 closures and we've spent the last two months planning the Talent Show virtually," Youth Council member and Talent Show Chair Ashley Kilmnick said. "We felt continuing with an online format would be a great way for the community to come together while remaining socially distanced."

Cash prizes will be awarded in specific categories in addition to a People's Choice winner.  A panel of three judges will help select the winners.  A few local organizations and individuals have sponsored cash prizes for winners, including the Simi Valley Family YMCA.  Local businesses have also donated silent auction items that will be auctioned off at a future date.  If individuals, families or businesses are interested in donating, please contact Kristin Tignac, Youth Council Coordinator, at (805) 583-6766.
