40th Birthday Celebration
Saturday, October 10, 2009
The City of Simi Valley will celebrate its 40th birthday on Saturday, October 10, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at City Hall, located at 2929 Tapo Canyon Road. All residents are invited to celebrate the City’s birthday, milestones and history.
Birthday celebration activities will include:

Cake-cutting ceremony

City and community services booths and information

Panel discussion regarding the City’s incorporation and history

Touch-a-truck activity with Police and Public Works vehicles on display

Children’s photo display, “What I Like Most About Simi Valley” - youth ages 12 and under are encouraged to take a photo depicting what they like about Simi Valley and bring it to the event to be placed in the display
Residents who lived in Simi Valley in 1969 are encouraged to come early at 9:00 a.m. to participate in a commemorative photo.
