The Simi Valley Council On Aging (COA) is seeking seniors who are interested in serving on the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging (VCAAA) Advisory Council to represent the concerns of seniors countywide. All interested persons must be 60 years of age or older and reside within the City of Simi Valley.
VCAAA’s Advisory Council is a community-based body that advocates for persons age 60 and over. Its mission is to involve the community in creating and sustaining programs that impact senior living and family caregivers. Advisory Board members meet six times a year in Ventura to plan and coordinate senior citizen programs countywide and also decide where and how funds are allocated.
Interested applicants are asked to submit an interest form and attend the COA meeting on Monday, May 13, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at the Simi Valley Senior Center, 3900 Avenida Simi. All interest forms will be due Monday, May 13, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. One candidate will be recommended to the City Council for appointment to fill a two-year term that begins on July 1, 2019.
