Teens and young adults, ages 15 to 25, seeking employment or internships are encouraged to attend the 32nd Annual Youth Employment Service (YES) Job and Career Expo on Saturday, March 16, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., at the Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley. This free event is provided as a community and business service by the City of Simi Valley and sponsored by the Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley and the Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise.
Additionally, businesses seeking full-time, part-time, seasonal, or permanent employees; interns; and/or businesses willing to discuss career opportunities within their industries can still register for the YES Job and Career Expo at no charge by registering online at www.simivalley.org/JobExpo. With more than 300 qualified high school students, high school graduates, college students, and out-of-school youth expected to attend, you don’t want to miss this opportunity to recruit and hire local candidates, educate young adults on career options, and network with other businesses.
Young adults who attend the event should arrive early, be dressed professionally, bring polished resumes, and be prepared to complete employment applications and possibly interview, as each year some employers interview and extend offers the day of the event. For more information, visit the YES Webpage.
Businesses, vocational schools, non-profit organizations, and youth who would like more information should contact the Youth Employment Service at (805) 583-6868.
