Water Conserving Landscape Workshop

The City of Simi Valley and Golden State Water Company are offering a free four-part series program that will focus on landscaping materials and techniques to help save water and money by reducing irrigation. These four California Friendly Landscape Training workshops will be held every other Saturday beginning September 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Participants will learn landscape and garden design, the benefits of using California friendly plants, sprinkler system basics, and soil, fertilizer and watering requirements. The first three classes on September 26th, October 10th and 24th will be at the Simi Valley Senior Center, 3900 Avenida Simi (map), and the November 7th class will be at the Simi Valley Police Department, 3901 Alamo Street (map).
